The Digit-al Dozen Does Blue - Shiny!

This is our final day this month for The Digit-al Dozen Blue Week! And today I am featuring an Indie polish because it is also Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!

Once in a while there comes a polish brand that just completely blows everything out of the water and becomes hot stuff! Case in point: Nerd Lacquer. Sadly she is not creating anymore but if she ever does, the heavens would rejoice! :)

This is one coat of Shiny. A gorgeous bright blue with silver glitters. This is one polish from the Serenity Trio (woot woot! Still Flying!). Serenity is my favorite movie and so I had to have this set and I am so glad I did as it is the only three Nerd Lacquers I own. As you can see, Shiny is a bit sheer for one coat.

Two coats and marvel at it! Such an icy blue! Speechless at this! I had no issues applying this polish! A dream, just like Captain Malcolm Reynolds of Serenity!

Another drool-worthy photo! A little blurry to show what? Yep, it's Shiny!

Bottle shot of this gorgeous polish!

Do you have the great privilege of owning a Nerd Lacquer? Is so, which one?

Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Once Upon a Polish Under the Sea

Welcome to this week's episode of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!  Today I am featuring Once Upon a Polish Under the Sea. I have used this polish in a few manis already but I thought I should introduce you to it properly! :)

Once Upon a Polish Under the Sea is a gorgeous polish made up of blue hex glitters and holo square glitters in a clear base. I love this polish, it is so bright and happy! :) Two coats on my index and middle fingers with one coat on ring and pinkie fingers.

Just add some full on sun and watch it shine away! Look at that! :)

Here is a skittle to show off Under the Sea. Starting with my thumb and working clockwise:  OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know?, Finger Paints Leonardo Da Vin-Pink, Essence Romeo, OPI Planks a Lot, and OPI Fiercely Fiona. This is one coat of Under the Sea on each nail.

Showing the skittle without the claw of all five fingers! :) I love how it pops off of the grey of Essence Romeo. Once Upon a Polish Under the Sea is really great to apply. Now, mind you, the holo squares are a bit sparse and sometimes don't like to play nicely but they do show up with a bit of help and dabbing! :) But no real major issues with this polish! All of Once Upon a Polish's polishes are fabulous and a dream or do I dare say it? A fairytale to apply! hahahahaha! Yep, I went there! :)

Show the bottle shot while showing off my thumb! It felt left out of the previous picture!

Macro bottle shot of Once Upon a Polish Under the Sea. Oh so purdy!

So, have you tried any of her polishes yet? If not, you really should! How do you find these amazing Indie polishes? Make sure you check out Once Upon a Polish's etsy page here and her facebook page here!

Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Once Upon a Polish SNow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Welcome to this week's episode of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!  Today I am featuring Once Upon a Polish Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

This is my first shredded glitter polish! Snow White and the Seven Drawfs has silver holographic hex glitters, black shredded glitters, and white hex glitters in a clear base. I love this look but I gotta say, the black shredded glitters kind of gave me some difficulties in spreading on my nails. I had to more place them then allow them to go randomly. But other than that I love it! And I'm totally fine with glitter being a bit of a handle with care! :)

The above photo is two coats of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on my index and middle fingers with one coat on ring and pinkie fingers.

So I had a few comments on what the glitters I am showing would look like on other colors. So I thought to do a skittle with my glitters to show you a range! :) All are one coat of Once Upon a Polish Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. (l-r) China Glaze Make Some Noise, OPI Mermaid's Tears, OPI Funky Dunkey, and Models Own Lemon Meringue. I like them all but my favorite(s) would be Mermaid's Tears and Lemon Meringue.

What do you think?

I promise this is another photo. It was a cloudy day and so not many of my photos worked. But both show how wonderfully shiny and glossy this top coat is! Love it!

Bottle shot of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. For some reason I really love the lid! :)

And glorious macro bottle shot of the yummy glitters in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Red Carpet Lacquer Zoinks!

Welcome to this week's episode of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!  Today I am featuring Red Carpet Lacquer Zoinks! Inspired by Scooby Doo! :)

Oh  happy day! Another green and brown glitter! Yes! *happy dance* Here is Zoinks! with no undies. Index and middle fingers are two coats each. Ring and pinkie fingers are one coat each. This polish is a lot of fun! As you can tell by my happy dance! :)

Here is one coat of Zoinks over OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh. And not that is not glitter bleeding on my ring finger. Van Gogh went on a bit splotchy, I promise. No bleeding glitter here!

Slightly different angle to show shine and color! Loving this glitter! Can't wait to try it on other colors! I chose this base for a reason, but you will have to wait on that until next week! Muwahahahahaha! ;)

See how purdy it is! Love! And the formula was spot on perfect! No mess no fuss! :)

Just the swatch of OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh (see a bit splotchy on the ring finger!). This is one coat, two would be best.

TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Red Carpet Lacquer Ruh Roh!

Welcome to this week's episode of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!  Today I am featuring Red Carpet Lacquer Ruh Roh! Inspired by Scooby Doo! :)

Here is Ruh Roh! with no undies. Index and middle fingers are two coats each. Ring and pinkie fingers are one coat each. This polish is a lot of fun! Brown and black glitters in a clear base, perfect for layering!

A slightly different angle to show the shine! :) This polish applied like a glitter dream! I never once had to fight with the glitter! Perfection! And it's a unique glitter in my collection! Woot! :) Loving the black and brown together! Think of all the layer combos you can have! :)

Here is Red Carpet Lacquer Ruh Roh! layered (one coat) over China Glaze Westside Warrior. Loving it! Very urban camo! :)

TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Once Upon a Polish The Beanstalk

Welcome to this week's episode of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! Today I am featuring a gorgeous glitter by none other than Once Upon a Polish. It's called The Beanstalk. Inspired by the beanstalk from Jack and the Beanstalk! :) I am loving her theme!

Here is The Beanstalk with no undies. It is a gorgeous clear base with a variety of green glitters in different shades, shapes and sizes (hexes, squares, medium, small, and micro) and silver hex glitter. It is absolutely stunning! My index and middle finger are two coats each. Ring and pinkie finger is only one coat each. I want to show you the difference between the two.

Slightly different angle and lighting than the picture before. Look at the shinnies! So pretty! I didn't have any problems with this glitter. It applied wonderfully and evenly enough! Bonus! :) You need this glitter, oh yes, you do! I promise you will not be disappointed! I can't wait to try in a jelly sammich!

Here is Once Upon a Polish The Beanstalk over Cult Nails Power Thief. Gorgeous combo! Loving it! :)

Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Cult Nails Power Thief

Welcome to this week's episode of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!  Today I am featuring a little Cult Nails polish called Power Thief from the Super Powers Collection.

I love me some brown polish! And I love me some Power Thief! This is a stunning warm brown with silver flecks/shimmer through out! Above is two coats.

Look at that! Stunning! This applied like a dream without any problems at all! I have nothing bad to say about this polish, it's fantastic! :) Such a perfect fall color! Can't wait to try it with different glitters and other fall colors!

This is to show you what one coat looks like. As you can see it is almost opaque in one coat! Yes! You can see some thinner areas on my ring and pinkie finger. Not too shabby huh!

Bottle shot of Cult Nails Power Thief.

Macro bottle shot of Cult Nails Power Thief. Look and the color and flecks/shimmer! Love!

Don't forget to check out the Cult Nails shop here and Facebook page here.

As you can tell, I'm back from vacation!! It's great to be back! Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things! What is that old adage: two weeks to make or break a habit? And I've been gone 2 1/2 weeks! Yikes! :)

Hope you all have had a great summer so far! :)

TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Sparkles by Julie Water Lily

Welcome this week's episode of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! Today I'm featuring one of my newest Indie polishes: Water Lily by Sparkles by Julie.

This is such a unique polish in my collection! This is a white polish with a gold shimmer packed with amazing glitters in gold, holographic, black and a smattering of blue! This is two coats.

Here it is with only one coat. Almost opaque. The application was very nice! The larger black glitter didn't apply to each nail but there isn't too many of it in the bottle and is more of a sporadic glitter. But I love it!

This is two coats again. Just look at this polish! Look at that gold shimmer on my middle finger! This is stunning!

Macro bottle shot of this amazing polish!

Don't forget to check out her etsy shop: Sparkles by Julie and her facebook page Sparkles by Julie.
