Pure Ice Vinyl Remix Review

Today I am going to show a new product (though it's been out in stores for a month now) from Pure Ice. It is their Vinyl Remix collection.

I have four different colors to show you today. Each come in a set with their Platinum Magic Base Coat and a cute little record nail file.

Here is one coat of the Pure Ice Platinum Magic Base Coat. As you can see it's a pretty nice opaque white and where I only had a few problems with application.

Here are the directions. As you can tell I have already done step one! :)

I decided to do a Pure Ice Vinyl Remix skittle! :) The Vinyl Remix polish that I am holding is DJ Spinner which is on my pointer finger (top). It is a light spring green! As you can see I have missed covering some of the white so it is showing at the base of my nail! Oops!

This is Vintage Remix on my middle finger. A lovely shade of light purple!

Next up is Emcee Me on my ring finger. It is a very nice pale yellow!

And finally on my pinkie finger is Glam Rock which is a pretty salmony pink!

These polishes apply easy-peasey! It is very fun and exciting to watch as it crackles and the color appears! You are also able to do different types of brush strokes to create different designs. You can also apply all colors on one nail, like so:

How fun is that! I can't wait to try different combinations and designs! I do wonder how these polishes will work with other polishes as a base.

I tried it with Seche Vite and something interesting happened.

Do you see that? The color sort of "ran". But I think this may have happened because I didn't wait for the polish to dry all the way, because I haven't seen it happen to others that have used a top coat. It did darken all the colors and turned them from pastel-like to neon-like! You can really see the color "run" on the Vintage Remix (purple) on my middle finger. You can also see the huge color change on Glam Rock (pink) on my pinkie. Hahaha! Pink on the pinkie! :)

You can get these at Walmart There is also a blue and orange in the collection that I did not receive. These are fun to have and apply! It's a different take on the crackle trend!

You can check out more pics of the Vinyl Remix collection on the Bari Cosmetics Facebook Page or the Pure Ice Website HERE

These were sent to be for review for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Nail Haul!

Here is a picture of the polishes I bought while in Canada! So many pretties! :) Look at the all the colors!

Top Row (l-r): Joe Fresh Orchid, Joe Fresh Peacock, Joe Fresh Teal, Joe Fresh Hunter, Joe Fresh Moss, and Joe Fresh Eggplant.

Bottom Row (l-r): GOSH Fairytale, GOSH Ocean, GOSH Purple Heart, Duri Gin Greyhound, China Glaze Pelican Grey, Nubar Elegant Indigo, and Nubar Stylish Peacock.

I'm soo excited for these polishes! These are my first GOSH, Duri, and Nubar polishes! And so many new Teals to use for Teal Tuesdays! :)

This is some things I got on my way home from my trip and in my Birchbox. The lipgloss (gasp not polish!) is by Hard Candy and is called Glossaholic in Vanilla. And I finally found Pure Ice Rio! My Walmart never has it in stock. I'm super excited because now I have all the ones that Caitlin did in her awesome post Pure Ice Comparison (with macros). Yes! This little Color Club is from my Birchbox for March. It is a mini in He Loves Me. It's a super baby pink that isn't too my color. So I think I might franken with it! :)

Now for picture as to why I bought this lipgloss.....ready?

Yep! Those are flakies in a lipgloss! Oh yeah baby! How cool is that! $5 at Walmart! Comes in other flavors too! :)

And guess what. There is this awesome woman over at PAA who is just amazing. One day I get a message saying telling me that she has sent me a prize! I'm all like what!? Why, for what? Her answer: for being you.
Awwww! Isn't she awesome! The person I am talking about is April from Munia's Nails. Her and I have talked back and forth for awhile now and I would say that we are friends! (I hope she agrees! hahaha!) (I would think so!) She's always going on the awesome Dusty Hunting trips and scoring awesome finds! She's my Dusty Hunting Idol! :) Well, at the end of this past week, my "prize" came. You want to see it?

OPI DS Mystery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, My. Goodness! I was so shocked at receiving this! It was on my wishlist! It is a gorgeous deep purple polish with gold glitter. I know many people don't love this polish but I think it is regal! Love it!

Tried to get a macro of this polish but my camera is hating on me right now. So this is as good as I could get....blurry semi close shot. Sorry! But you can see the purple and the gold! Loverly right!?

Thank you thank you thank you so much April! I love love love it! :)

And I promise I do have plans for more swatches and nail art and tutorials and a new blog header! I do I really do! But this semester is kicking me! Ugh, only about 4 more weeks and I'll be done! I have a practicum this summer but I will have more time to play! So please, bear with me, I do have good intentions! And some awesome ideas that are going to explode soon because they need to be given life! :)

Haulage!

So last week Walgreens had their Sinful Colors on sale for 99 cents! Woot! So these are the ones I bought! (l-r) Soul Mate, Kissy, Rise and Shine, Mint Apple, Savage, Nail Junkie, and Amethyst.
Amethyst is off on it's own because I bought it on a different day after seeing Jackie at MeMa's Mani's use it. It is gorgeous!

When I bought the cashier asked why I was getting polishes all the same color. Um, hello! They are not the same color at all! :)

Now for some sun shots of the bottles! (Didn't do Soul Mate as it's color was captured well in the first picture)

Here is Kissy and Nail Junkie. Kissy seems to be more of a glass-flecked shimmery duochrome (green blue) while Nail Junkie is green/gold/blue/teal glitter with teal base. Pretty!

See, totally different colors! This is Mint Apple, Rise and Shine, and Savage. Mint Apple has a sort of silver sheen to it. Rise and Shine is actually darker in the bottle than it shows here. And Savage is a very good Perry the Platypus color

Amethyst is a bit darker IRL. I'm going to have to do a comparison with it and OPI Funky Dunkey.

Last week I also bought some more Pure Ice because I saw Caitlin's post on them: Pure Ice Comparison amazing! You need to go check it out! Gorgeous!

So I got Really Rio (thinking it was the Rio she used, it's not), Tease, Busted.

Sun shot! I can't wait to use them! Fun times!
